Tom Cowburn

Chief Executive Officer

Tom is a passionate and driven leader with a background in public service, including emergency services and community safety. He is experienced in safeguarding, working with vulnerable people, and managing risk. As a qualified mentor and experienced trainer for both young people and adults, he is dedicated to improving the lives of neurodivergent people and creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

Connor McDyre BA (Hons)

Trustee - Safeguarding

Connor is an experienced educator with a background in teaching and pastoral care. He is highly skilled in safeguarding, particularly for children with complex needs, and has been seconded to the Department of Education in a safeguarding capacity. In addition, he has volunteered in the emergency services. Connor is a valuable asset to Impulse, where he is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Morgan Phoenix

Trustee - Young People

Morgan is an experienced youth worker, working in one of the most deprived areas of the country, with a passion for supporting children and young adults. Pursuing her dream of becoming a mental health nurse, she is particularly interested in improving health services for neurodivergent people. As a valuable member of Impulse, Morgan is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and supportive community.

Ben Simpson BA (Hons)

Trustee - Criminal Justice

Ben is a dedicated emergency service worker with a strong interest in improving the relationship between neurodivergent people and law enforcement. With a background in psychology, he brings a unique perspective to his work. As an asset to Impulse, Ben is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of others and helping to create a more inclusive and supportive community.

Marcus Collins


Marcus is a passionate West End performer with a heart for neurodiversity advocacy. He was the runner up in the 2011 X-Factor competition. Having ADHD himself, he understands the importance of compassionate care and community support. He is currently studying psychology at university. His dedication to our mission is invaluable, and we're grateful for his contributions to Impulse.

Dylan McLaughlin

Support Coordinator

Dylan is a compassionate and experienced professional who ensures care is provided professionally, ethically, person centred and with trauma-informed practices. With a diverse background, including security and emergency services, he has mentored and managed Youth Neighborhood Watch. Dylan's commitment to ensuring appropriate support for our service users is invaluable to Impulse.
